Question to the Department for Education:

To ask the Secretary of State for Education, pursuant to the Answer of 25 April 2018 to Question 136869 on Wakefield City Academies Trust, whether the Mexborough Academy has been re-brokered.

On 18 July 2018, the Department for Education confirmed Delta Academies Trust (Delta) as the new trust for Mexborough Academy. We are working with all parties to transfer Mexborough Academy from Wakefield City Academies Trust into Delta as soon as possible.

Since January 2018, Delta continues to provide school improvement support at Mexborough, ensuring pupils are benefitting from a strong trust immediately. Our priority continues to be the education of the pupils and moving Mexborough Academy, to Delta, with as little disruption as possible.
