Question to the Department for Transport:
To ask the Secretary of State for Transport, if she will introduce regulations on autonomous robots on pavements.
This question was answered on 13th July 2026
The Government has announced that it will facilitate new trials of pavement delivery robots through powers in the Regulating for Growth Bill.
This will be done with a view to creating a clear, lawful route to market for pavement delivery robots that protects the safety of pedestrians and vulnerable road users.
