Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:

To ask the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, what steps his Department is taking to help protect NHS workforce training budgets as part of the merger of Health Education England and NHS England.

Workforce, including education and training, will be a key priority for NHS England. There will also be robust accountability in place between the Department and NHS England. We will continue to monitor and track expenditure on education and training and will be establishing a Ministerially-chaired board to provide oversight and governance of workforce in NHS England.
