Question to the Cabinet Office:
To ask the Minister for the Cabinet Office, pursuant to the answer of 30 June 2026 to Question 12162 on Government Departments: Procurement, whether there are exemptions for not publishing grant information to specific organisations through the GGIS process.
Under the Grants Functional Standard (GovS 015), central government departments and their arm’s length bodies (ALBs) are required to provide details of their grant schemes and awards to the Cabinet Office via the Government Grants Information System (GGIS).
The Cabinet Office publishes this data and accompanying official statistics on GOV.UK each year. In instances where central government departments determine that grant information should not be published as part of these annual grants statistics, relevant exemptions may apply. Such exemptions can include, but are not limited to, considerations regarding national security.
