Question to the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office:

To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Affairs, what assurances he gave his Kenyan counterpart on 15 March 2023 regarding a swift resolution of the Agnes Wanjiru murder investigation.

The Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Affairs discussed the Agnes Wanjiru investigation with his counterpart on 15 March. His Majesty's Government remains committed to supporting this investigation and ensuring that the family of Agnes Wanjiru receives justice. The Defence Serious Crime Command, British High Commission Nairobi, Ministry of Defence and National Crime Agency have been working with the Kenyan authorities to provide UK assistance to the Kenyan investigation.
