Evidence around the impact of screen time on children and young people’s mental health is being assessed. The Secretary of State for Health and Social Care has asked the Chief Medical Officer to undertake an evidence review on the impact of social media on children and young people’s mental health and bring forward advice and guidance. This will include consideration of the impact of screen time on children and young people’s mental health and wellbeing.
