Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:
To ask the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, how many and what proportion of directly employed civil servants in his Department earn under £50,000 per annum.

As at the end of September 2018, 1,044 directly employed civil servants earned under £50,000 per annum. This equates to 67% of all directly employed civil servants in the Department.
