Question to the Cabinet Office:

To ask the Minister for the Cabinet Office, with reference to the news story entitled Independent Review of the Use of Non-corporate Communications Channels in Government, of 2 July 2026, whether the review will consult His Majesty's Official Opposition.

I refer the Hon Member to the Written Ministerial Statement made by the Chief Secretary to the Prime Minister on this matter on the 2nd of July and to the associated terms of reference that were published on the same day. As the independent reviewer in charge, it will be for Sir Anthony Finkelstein to determine the review methodology.
