Data on local National Health Service plans covering the number of audiologists specialising in paediatrics that will be needed up to 2020 is not collected centrally. Responsibility for assessing and managing staffing levels, including specialty staff, rests with individual NHS trusts and their boards who are best placed to decide how many staff they need to provide a given service.
