The Government is modernising courts and tribunals systems through the HMCTS Reform programme. Our ambitious programme is designed to improve courts and tribunals for both those who use them and those working in them.

It is standard practice not to comment on discussions between Ministers and the judiciary.

The Lord Chancellor has responsibility for the courts and tribunals and regularly discusses a wide range of issues with Cabinet colleagues.
