Question to the Ministry of Justice:
To ask the Secretary of State for Justice, how many people have been (a) charged and (b) convicted of an offence whilst on bail awaiting court proceedings for each of the last five years.

It is not possible to identify from centrally held data the number of defendants that were charged or convicted of an offence whilst on bail as this data is not held by the Ministry of Justice Court Proceedings Database.
