Question to the Ministry of Defence:
To ask the Secretary of State for Defence, how many (a) military and (b) civilian staff in his Department are proficient in (i) Arabic, (ii) Persian, (iii) Turkish, (iv) Berber, (v) Kurdish, (vi) Polish and (vii) Russian.

The numbers of personnel in the military and civil service in the Ministry of Defence who are proficient in Arabic, Persian, Turkish, Berber, Kurdish, Polish and Russian is as follows:
