Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:

To ask the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, what plans he has to extend the Infection Control Fund for social care providers beyond 30 June 2021 in response to the increasing number of covid-19 cases.

In 2021/22, we are providing local authorities with an estimated £3 billion to help manage the impact of COVID-19 across their services, including in adult social care. The Government will continue to monitor pressures on the sector and will keep future funding under review.
