We are aware of the high rates of femicide and more generally, high levels of impunity in Mexico, including in the case of violent crimes. We regularly engage with the Mexican federal and state authorities on gender and security and call on them to ensure violence against women and girls is fully investigated.

Our Embassy in Mexico City runs several projects throughout Mexico, including a regional Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG) project that has adapted evidence from the UK 'What Works to Prevent VAWG' programme to a Latin American context.
