Royal Mail: Universal Service Obligation

Question to the Department for Business and Trade:

To ask the Secretary of State for Business and Trade, if she will make it her policy to reduce Royal Mail’s universal service obligation to five working days of Monday to Friday.

The Government currently has no plans to change the minimum requirements of the universal postal obligation which are set out in the Postal Services Act 2011, including the provision of a letter delivery service six days a week.
