Question to the Department for Transport:
To ask the Secretary of State for Transport, how many ticket office booths were in operation in railway stations in (a) 2019, (b) 2020, (c) 2021 and (d) 2022; and how many are in operation as of 27 June 2023.

In 2019, 988 Department contracted train operating company ticket offices were in operation in railway stations. In 2021, the number of ticket offices in operation reduced by 3. Therefore, today we have 985 ticket offices in operation.
