The Government’s Fraud Strategy, published in May 2023, sets out how government, law enforcement, regulators, industry, and charities will work together to cut fraud. Combatting fraud and delivering the strategy requires close working, coordination, and cooperation with partners across the system, utilising the unique capabilities of every partner, each of whom will play a specific and vital role.

This includes the NCA, in its role leading and coordinating law enforcement’s response to serious and organised crime, and the SFO, in its unique role as a specialist investigating and prosecuting authority that tackles the top-level of serious or complex fraud, bribery, and corruption.
