Question to the Department for Transport:
To ask the Secretary of State for Transport, what recent discussions he has held with HS2 Ltd on the appointment of a new CEO of HS2 Ltd.

The Secretary of State and I met with the HS2 Ltd Chair, Sir Jon Thompson, and Deputy Chair, Elaine Holt, to discuss the Board’s appointment of a new permanent CEO of HS2 Ltd on Wednesday 12 July. This is a critical role for the Government and I will continue engage closely with them to ensure we get the right person for the role.
