Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:

To ask the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, when NHS England plans to publish its policy outlining the approach to commissioning and funding genomic tests to be included in the National Genomic Test Directory.

Funding for genomic testing will be from a combination of specialised commissioning and highly specialised services, and local commissioning budgets. NHS England is moving towards a system whereby funding and contracting mechanisms for genomic testing will become fully operational under a standardised, sustainable, national funding and pricing approach.
