The Department commissions research through the National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR). The NIHR is not currently supporting research specifically on the impact of haemochromatosis-related symptoms on people living with this condition. However, the NIHR has funded a study on diagnostic strategies for haemochromatosis and is supporting research to improve diagnosis of haemochromatosis. The NIHR welcomes funding applications for research into any aspect of human health, including the impact of haemochromatosis-related symptoms on individuals.
