Question to the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs:
To ask the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, what the cost to the public purse was of woodland (a) creation and (b) management in the last 12 months.
A total of approximately £69.8 million has been spent through the Nature for Climate Fund, Countryside Stewardship and Environmental Stewardship schemes over the last 12 months to support our creation and management of woodland, which is split into approximately £56.6 million for creation and approximately £13.2 million for management.
