Question to the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office:

To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Affairs, whether he had discussions with his Chinese counterpart on the visiting restrictions that have been placed upon some hon. Members during his visit to China in August 2023.

The Foreign Secretary has made clear consistently that Chinese sanctions against British MPs are unacceptable and unjustifiable. During his visit to Beijing last month the Foreign Secretary pressed for the immediate lifting of these sanctions.
