Question to the Ministry of Defence:

To ask the Secretary of State for Defence, what assessment he has made of the potential impact of recent (a) inflation and (b) interest rates on his Department's plan to develop a £242 billion 10-year equipment plan for the Armed Forces, as announced in The defence equipment plan 2022 to 2032, published in November 2022.

The figures in the Ministry of Defence Equipment Plan 2022-2032 are based on the financial position at the end of March 2022. The latest figures for the financial year ending March 2023, which include the impact of inflation and interest rates, are currently being prepared by the Department and will be published in December.
