Question to the Ministry of Justice:

To ask the Secretary of State for Justice, how much his Department spent on (a) administering the Community Payback Rapid Deployment project pilots between 19 July and 17 October 2023, and (b) ensuring the effective oversight of work completed under the pilots.

The Department spend on administering the Community Payback Rapid Deployment projects between 19 July and 17 October 2023 and the effective oversight of work completed under these pilots has not incurred any additional spending. The pilots have been set up, managed and overseen using existing staff resource within the existing Community Payback business as usual budgets. No other funding has been used to deliver Community Payback Rapid Deployment pilots.
