Question to the Home Office:

To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department, what plans her Department has to increase the number of replies sent electronically to letters from hon. Members.

The government's digital strategy details the approach we will take to evolve
our service provision. Where the Home Office receives high volumes of
correspondence from MPs, such as on immigration matters, we work proactively with
MPs and their caseworkers to provide them with the most efficient and
convenient service and encourage increasing use of emails and telephones as
channels of communication.
