Question to the Ministry of Defence:

To ask the Secretary of State for Defence, when are the planned dates for (a) initial and (b) main gate approval of the project to build a new replacement nuclear warhead.

The Strategic Outline Case is expected to be reviewed by the Government's Major Projects Review Group in autumn 2021. Details of further programme timescales are being withheld at this point for the purposes of safeguarding national security.
