Question to the Department for Transport:
To ask the Secretary of State for Transport, what his policy is on upgrading Carnforth Railway Station for additional future services.
This question was answered on 14th July 2014
The winning bidder of the TransPennine Express franchise will be expected to deliver improved service quality to customers at all TransPennine Express stations, including Carnforth.
The provision of additional infrastructure at Carnforth is a matter for Network Rail.
