On 1 April 2010, the average size of an Infantry battalion was 570; the equivalent figure for 1 April 2015 was 530. These figures reflect a reduction in the average size of an Infantry battalion under Army 2020. The figures have been rounded to the nearest 10 and reflect only those Infantry personnel in an Infantry battalion, not any attached personnel from other areas of the Army.
