Question to the Ministry of Defence:
To ask the Secretary of State for Defence, how many claims have been brought forward under the (a) Armed Forces Pension Scheme and (b) War Pensions Scheme in each year since 2010.
This question was answered on 1st September 2014
There were no claims brought forward under the Armed Forces Pension Scheme in each year since 2010. The number of outstanding claims under the War Pensions Scheme in each year since 2010 is;
2010-11 – 3,695
2011-12 – 5,775
2012-13 – 9,210
2013-14 – 7,645
In line with Defence statistics rounding policy all figures have been rounded to the nearest 5.
