Question to the Department for Education:

To ask the Secretary of State for Education, what estimate her Department has made of the number of trainee teachers required in each region in (a) 2010-11, (b) 2011-12, (c) 2012-13, (d) 2013-14 and (e) 2014-15.

The requested information on the number of trainee teachers required in each region is not available.

Information on the number of initial teacher training (ITT) allocations and places requested for the 2014/15 academic year grouped by region is available in the “Initial teacher training allocations for academic year 2014 to 2015” publication (summary by region tab).
