Question to the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government:

To ask the Secretary of State for Housing, Communities and Local Government, whether he has plans to issue additional guidance to building owners on the replacement of faulty composite fire doors.

The Independent Expert Panel issued guidance for building owners who are looking to fit or replace fire doors. This information can be found on the Building Safety Programmes website.

Social housing providers have also been provided with a ‘Frequently Asked Questions’ document for guidance in replacing fire doors and have been provided with the opportunity to join the Government’s test sharing hub to share the results of current testing of the timber fire doors market with the aim to prevent duplication of testing and inform door replacement programmes.

We will continue to keep the content of our advice and guidance under review based on feedback from local government and industry.
