Question to the Cabinet Office:

To ask the Minister for the Cabinet Office, whether guidance on Ministerial involvement in the Honours System has been updated since July 2024.

Guidance on ministerial involvement in the Honours System was last updated in June 2022. In July 2025, the Prime Minister's Office issued an updated set of Prime Ministerial Priorities to departments which included a summary of the existing roles and responsibilities of both Secretaries of State and Permanent Secretaries. These priorities were published on gov.uk.
