To ask the Secretary of State for Work and Pensions, what assessment he has made of the effect of the UK leaving the EU on levels of poverty in the UK.

No assessment has been made on the effect of the UK leaving the EU on levels of poverty in the UK.

DWP’s Households Below Average Income (HBAI) publication provides annual estimates on the number and percentage of people living in low-income households. HBAI is the foremost source for data and information about household income in the UK. The statistics are based on data from the Family Resources Survey (FRS) whose focus is capturing information on incomes.
