Question to the Ministry of Defence:
To ask the Secretary of State for Defence, what estimate he has made of the annual combined operating and support cost for one F-35 and one Typhoon aircraft.
This question was answered on 28th October 2014
The information is not held in the format requested as aircraft operating and support costs are calculated on the whole fleet rather than per aircraft, in order to achieve efficiencies of scale.
While data continues to mature on the F-35 programme, it is too early to provide future UK operating and support cost estimates.
