Question to the Ministry of Defence:

To ask the Secretary of State for Defence, how much on average is received each week by claimants of the War Pensions Scheme in each age group who claim (a) the Allowance for a Lowered Standard or Occupation and (b) the Unemployability Supplement.

It is not possible to provide details of how much on average is paid to recipients of the Allowance for a Lowered Standard of Occupation and the Unemployability Supplement because details of such expenditure are not held in age groupings, and could be provided only at disproportionate cost.

However, for financial year 2013-14, an average £60 per week was paid to recipients of the Allowance for a Lowered Standard of Occupation and an average £110 per week was paid to recipients of the Unemployability Supplement.

In line with Defence Statistics' Rounding Policy, all figures of five or more have been rounded to the nearest 5.
