Question to the Ministry of Justice:
To ask the Secretary of State for Justice, what has been the contribution to the public purse from the sale of courts in 2018.

In 2018, £8.1 million was received from the sale of courts – every penny of which was reinvested into modernising the justice system so we can provide swifter and easier access to justice for all.
The closure of any court is not taken lightly and only happens following full public consultation.
