Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:
To ask the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, what recent assessment he has made of the (a) quality and (b) reliability of research into lipoedema.
This question was answered on 4th February 2019
The Department has made no separate assessment of the quality and reliability of lipoedema research. High quality research is subject to academic peer review before publication in journals. This applies to all research funded by the Department and other major United Kingdom public and charity research funders.
