Question to the Ministry of Defence:

To ask the Secretary of State for Defence, how much his Department has spent to date on the running costs of the interim IT solution put in place while Capita develop a new platform for the management of regular and reserve soldier recruitment.

As the previous Defence Secretary, my right hon. Friend Mr Hammond stated on 14 January 2014 (Official Report, column 717) the additional costs of the interim IT solution is around £1 million per month. The current cost to date is around £9 million.
