Army: Recruitment

Question to the Ministry of Defence:
To ask the Secretary of State for Defence, what the regular Army annual recruitment target is for each year from 2014-15 to 2020-21.

The Army's recruiting targets are determined by training requirements. The regular targets for 2014-15 are around 710 officers and 9,350 soldiers.
The recruiting requirement for future years has not yet been set. It will be dependent on the most up-to-date available data on wastage rates and training duration.
