Question to the Home Office:
To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department, what steps she has taken to make Syrian refugees who have relatives in the UK aware of the options for family reunification.
Recognised refugees and those granted Humanitarian Protection in the UK are advised about family reunion provisions as part of the information they receive with the decision on their asylum claim. Details on how to apply are
also available on the Home Office website.
The UK also operates the Mandate refugee scheme which provides a resettlement route for individual refugees who have been recognised by UNHCR and have close family ties with the UK. The UK is only able to consider resettlement
applications from refugees who have been referred to us by UNHCR.
