Question to the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government:

To ask the Secretary of State for Housing, Communities and Local Government, pursuant to Answer of 24 April to Question 136144 on Antisemitism, what progress his Department has made on creating a database of (a) symbols, (b) slogans and (c) flags that may be illegal as a result of their use to incite hatred.

MHCLG supported the National Police Chiefs’ Council (NPCC) to create and populate a database of symbols of proscribed organisations for use by police forces. Information about the impact that these symbols and others have on community tensions has also been included.
