Question to the Ministry of Defence:

To ask the Secretary of State for Defence, what assessment he has made of the suitability for use by the UK of electronic stabilisation software for the Artisan radar systems.

A number of briefings have been provided by BAE Maritime Systems on the Electronic Stabilisation (E-Stab) system. The capabilities and affordability of the system have yet to be demonstrated and sea based trials to gather further evidence are currently being developed.
