To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department, what estimate she has of the cost of removing check-off contributions for trade unions in her Department.

An estimate of the cost of removing the check-off facility in the Home Office has been made. The cost was not significant. The Home Office has not cited cost as a reason for removing the service.
