Question to the Ministry of Defence:

To ask the Secretary of State for Defence, how many staff are employed in his Department's headquarter buildings.

As of 1 October 2014, the number of Ministry of Defence (MOD) civilian staff located at MOD Head Office London, was around 1,680. This figure is based on MOD core and Trading Fund personnel and numbers are reported as Full Time Equivalents.

In addition, around 740 UK Regular Forces personnel are stationed in MOD Head Office.
