Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:

To ask the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, what additional resources he is making available to increase the vaccination rates of young people working in the hospitality sector.

Over a third of 18 to 24 year olds have already received their first vaccination in the week following the vaccine programme opening up to all adults. We have increased the accessibility of the vaccines in targeted locations in areas of lower vaccine uptake. On the weekend of 26 June, NHS England launched the ‘grab a jab’ weekend in football stadiums, theatres, supermarket car parks and shopping centres, which allowed vaccinations to take place without needing to book in advance.
