Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:

To ask the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, what steps he is taking to improve the delivery and outcomes of the Accelerated Access Pathway Scheme.

In its first year, the Accelerated Access Collaborative (AAC) has identified 12 high potential products that it will support to get to patients faster. These products could improve health outcomes for 500,000 patients and deliver £30 million savings. This year, the AAC will also identify and accelerate patient access to its first earlier stage high potential products. The AAC is a key part of our plans to improve the health innovation ecosystem so that it delivers maximum benefit to patients and the National Health Service.
