Question to the Home Office:

To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department, what guidelines her Department provides for timescales for completing a disclosure and barring check.

The current Disclosure and Barring Service service standard is to issue 88% of all Disclosures within 40 working days. The latest published data for the year to date (covering April –November 2014) shows that 95.9% of disclosures were
issued within this timeframe.
