Question

To ask the Secretary of State for Energy and Climate Change, pursuant to the Answer of 13 January 2015 to Question 219852, if he will provide a breakdown by category of his Department's expenditure allocated to oil and gas in the last financial year; and of the purposes and functions of that expenditure.

DECC’s expenditure allocated to Oil and Gas for the financial year 2013/2014 was £2,798k and all of this was channelled into the Oil and Gas Maximising Recovery Programme.

A breakdown giving the purposes and functions within that expenditure is set out in the table below:
