Question to the Home Office:

To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department, with reference to the Answer of 28 April 2022 to Question 156507 on Immigration, if she will make an assessment of the effectiveness of the Home Office decision-making process for migration applications in (a) the UK and (b) overseas.

We continually review the effectiveness of the visa system.

The Home Office is pursuing a programme of transformation and business improvement initiatives which will speed up decision making, reduce the time people spend in the system and reduce the numbers who are awaiting a decision, ensuring value for money and high-quality customer service and decisions.
