Question to the Ministry of Justice:

To ask the Secretary of State for Justice, how much his Department spent on (a) television advertising, (b) radio advertising, (c) national newspaper advertisements, (d) local newspaper advertisements, (e) social media advertising and (f) other types of advertising in each year since 2010.

The advertising budget in 2014-15 was allocated for social media work around Restorative Justice and Family Mediation. Unlike a number of the issues we deal with, we felt these two campaigns would most benefit from a small amount of paid for social media and digital advertising activity.

The budgets shown above do not include spend on recruitment advertising as records are not held centrally.
